New Tribe Media wins Social Media Club Gold Hashie Award

New Tribe Media picked up a Hashie Award from Social Media Club Des Moines on Thursday, August 20 during its Hashies @ Home Award Ceremony streamed live on Facebook.

New Tribe Media received a Gold award for Best Social Media Campaign for its work with client, Iowa Donor Network. Sam Hoyle, the Founder of New Tribe Media, was also a finalist for Social Media Professional of the Year.

In September, 2019, Iowa Donor Network partnered with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to launch a new organ donor registry. The legislation, Logan’s Law, was enacted in memory of keen fisherman and hunter Logan Luft, who tragically died aged 15 and passed on the gift of life as an organ, eye and tissue donor. The new registry allows hunters and fisherman in Iowa to sign up as an organ donor when applying for their hunting and fishing license.

New Tribe Media worked with both agencies to lead the social media and public relations rollout.

“Logan’s Law was a special campaign to be a part of so it’s an honor to be recognized by our marketing peers,” said New Tribe Founder Sam Hoyle. “We’re proud to help Iowa Donor Network tell their story, build their community online and inspire more Iowans to Donate Life.”

Two videos created for the campaign were viewed by more than 100,000 people. More than 2,600 names have been added to the Iowa Organ Donor Registry.

All Hashie entries are judged by social media professionals from across the globe.
